2. COURSE INFORMATION

The course is aimed to give exposure to the students on different levels of literacy development among children. It elaborates several theories on early literacy among children. Through this subject, students are trained to apply different techniques in helping children developing their literacy. On top of that, students are exposed towards the phonetic teaching method. This method is the most effective approach in order to build up children’s ability in reading in English. The syllabus involved both theoretical and practical methods applied.
